18 Eylül 2025 Perşembe

We successfully completed the "Fundamentals and Clinical Applications of Surface Electromyography" program, supported by the TÜBİTAK BİDEB 2237 Scientific Education Event, in Mersin on October 8–10, 2015.

The event focused on the theoretical foundations of surface EMG, HDsEMG, signal processing techniques, and clinical applications, aiming to enable participants to transfer research findings to clinical practice. Instructors:

* Project Coordinator- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Veysel Alcan – Tarsus University, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering
* Prof. Dr. Murat Zinnuroğlu – Gazi University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
* Dr. Lecturer Kutluk Bilge Arikan – Ankara University, Department of Biomedical Engineering
* Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serkan Tas – Toros University, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation
* Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emrah Cetin – Tarsus University, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Participants experienced a holistic learning experience encompassing measurement protocols, artifact management, time/frequency domain analyses, and clinical reporting. The event aims to contribute to the clinical acceptance of surface EMG in our country and to increase interdisciplinary collaboration.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Prof. Dr. Roberto Merletti, all our educators for their valuable contributions, and all participants and to TÜBİTAK and Tarsus University for their support
