We were delighted to host Prof. Patrick Esser from Oxford Brookes University (UK) for a study visit at Tarsus University and the Engineering and Health Research Laboratory (EHR-LAB)
Prof. Esser is the Director of the Centre for Movement, Occupation and Rehabilitation Sciences (MOReS) and Knowledge Exchange Lead at Oxford Brookes’ Faculty of Health, Science & Technology. As MOReS Director, he leads a multidisciplinary team developing innovative hardware and software solutions for clinical and real-world rehabilitation.
During his visit, we discussed our ongoing collaboration and future initiatives — including joint research on technology-enabled rehabilitation, sensor fusion, signal processing, and AI-driven movement analysis. This builds upon our existing partnership under the British Council ISPF bilateral programme between the UK and Türkiye, co-led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Veysel Alcan (Head of EHR-LAB) and Prof. Patrick Esser. These dialogues are paving the way for new joint proposals, publications, and innovation-driven projects that bridge engineering, biomechanics, and health technology to improve movement science and rehabilitation outcomes.
🤝 We look forward to deepening this collaboration between EHR-LAB Tarsus University and MOReS Oxford Brookes University, uniting expertise across borders to advance human health and performance.
