"Innovation in Rehabilitation-2: Gait” Symposium

01 Nisan 2026 Çarşamba

As behalf of EHR -LAB, I was honored to participate as a speaker at the “Innovation in Rehabilitation-2: Gait” Symposium held on March 28, 2026, hosted by Hasan Kalyoncu University and Toros University
I represented Tarsus University, Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Engineering & Health Research Laboratory (EHR-LAB).

In my presentation titled “Kinematic Measurements in Gait Analysis: Technologies, Biomechanical Interpretation, and Clinical Applications,” we addressed the following main topics:
- Gait analysis framework and biomechanical approach
- Kinematic measurement technologies
- Kinematic variables and clinical interpretation
- Gait analysis with surface EMG + IMU under dynamic conditions (transition from laboratory to field/daily life environment)
- Gait analysis with artificial intelligence and digital biomarkers
- The future of gait analysis and digital health applications (3D marker-based motion capture systems, in-shoe sensor systems, IMU and wearable sensors, markerless and smartphone-based systems, etc.)

At this symposium, we had the opportunity to discuss the interdisciplinary role of gait analysis technologies between engineering and health sciences with researchers, clinicians, and students from different universities.

I would like to thank the organizing committee and everyone involved for their invitation and organization.
