Project Duration 24 months
Within the scope of this project, an interactive Biofeedback Based Interactive Rehabilitation System based therapeutic exercise system will be developed to promote motor learning and adaptation towards visual-motor-perceptual integration by providing feedback based on physical interaction (foot pressure sensitive) with visual guidance. Comprehensive biomechanical evaluations including clinical tests, electrophysiological measurements based on surface electromyography (Surface EMG) and postural oscillation (CoP) analysis will be performed before and after the intervention period to measure the effectiveness and outcomes of the system. In contrast to the traditional experimental conditions (eyes open-eyes closed), the project will provide intermittent visual manipulations with flash goggles to examine the effect on participants' sensory processing and cognitive-motor integration. This innovative methodology will provide a dynamic assessment of postural control, providing valuable insights into individuals' ability to adapt to changing sensory environments. This will provide evidence for different manipulatory scenarios for visually guiding patients in rehabilitation based on biofeedback-based interactive rehabilitation system technology.
